The Best Morning of The Year

Then finally, finally, the big day arrived. Jesus' Birthday. Happy Birthday and thank you thank you!
B got up first, but was easily coaxed back to sleep. I got up next and was just sort of hanging out on the couch. When Rowan got up though... there was no more delaying things. He was SO excited! Mom let him open the first gift - a steak breakfast for our newest and hairiest Vandy.

We were a little sad to read Tyler's goodbye card, but this year he left us pictures!

I was more excited to see what everyone else got and to give gifts.

Rowan was out of his mind with excitement. He was so much fun to watch. I wonder if he's ever had a nice Christmas morning. Last year, he spent Christmas in the shelter :(

We helped him open his stocking first. It actually went missing for a little while when Mom was decorating. We found it snuggled up in Rowan's kennel with him. It's the one and only thing we've ever found in there that hadn't been shredded. I think he was happy to have a family and a stocking of his own for Christmas this year!

Row's stocking was packed with bones and treats. He couldn't get outsid to hide this one fast enough.

This giant ball was also a big hit.

I got snap circuits. Mom and I spent a long time putting together different configurations and I can't wait until Gavin comes over so we can combine our sets.

I was super disappointed that I didn't get the Millenium Falcon. I cheered up though because B let me build his remote controlled LEGO train and I got a huge LEGO truck to build and install a motor in!

As for B...  He was super happy to get his talking penguin (Jazzy), his gun, his binoculars and his "smells like death cologne."

Dad's cowboy and rubber boots were both too big for him, but this arcade Claw game was JUST perfect! Turns out, I inherited the old man's clawing skills :)
