All About Rowan

Some fun facts about "the beast" now that he's been a part of our family for 4 months.

1.  He loves us. Like really really loves us. When we leave, he goes nuts barking. When we come home, he loses his mind with excitement. When Mom brought him home from the kennel last time, he raced around the whole house looking for us.

2.  He is protective of us. He sleeps under our bed until we fall asleep, then he heads downstairs to Mom and Dad. He doesn't care when we fight each other, but when Daddy jumps in for a three way light sabre battle, he barks his ever loving head off.  Do not mess with us when Rowan is around!

3.  He's smart but stubborn. He learns tricks very quickly, but feels as though he's above them. It's a lot of work to get him to comply!

4.  He's learning and trying REALLY hard. He doesn't mouth play with us anymore at all and never jumps on us either. Mom and Dad are another story, but he's getting better there too :)

5.  He loves car rides. There is nothing better than sticking your head out the window of the car in Rowan's opinion!

6.  He can run like the wind blows. 6 miles is no problem anymore! Mom has to scale back in order to let his toenails grow!

7.  He loves other dogs. He is crazy about other dogs. Mom and Dad say maybe when he calms down a bit, he can have a little friend.

8.  He loves his Mama. We are all Mama's boys around here and he is the biggest one!  He follows her everywhere, cuddles with her during the day, runs with her, rides with her and really only listens to her :)

9.  Even though Mom is alpha, Daddy is his best bud. He has always been a big fan of the big guy and can't get cuddled up with him often enough.

10.  He finally has the home he deserves.  Whoever gave him up to the shelter has our undying gratitude.  Your loss suckers!

We can't wait for our first Christmas with Rowan. We love you bud!
