Conversations With Cole

Birthdays are a little hard on Mommies.  I'm not sure why, but mine is always trying to get me to stop growing so fast.  I can't get big fast enough!  Mom shed a few tears today as she realized how fast her little boy is growing up.  I'm not all that big on snuggles and kisses and lame-oh mushy Mommy stuff anymore.  I mostly want to run and wrestle and play.  I do still love my Mom though so at the end of the day, when I was heading off to bed, I asked Mom to come snuggle with me and when she asked me if I wanted to go to bed by myself now that I'm 4, I said:

"I'm a big boy Mommy, but I still need you."

I bet I don't need to tell you how THAT line went over!

Here's to growing up, but not forgetting to still need your Mom from time to time.
