To Grandmother's House We Go!

We were pretty tired after our day at the Children's Museum, so Mom decided to toss us in the car and head up to Grandmas!  We had a really great day with them on Saturday.  Bryce and Bugga had a lot of hugs and chats.  Bryce showed off his walking skills too.

Grandma took me to the park.  We both liked this big swing.

B loves our Ota.

I do too!

How could we not?!

We made sure to leave our mark on every nook and cranny at Grandma's house.  Here's B giving her a little something to remember us by on her glass window.

B's walking skills.

That kid was all smiles all weekend.  Here he is showing off his TWO teeth.
Thanks for a nice visit Bugga and Grandma!

Explorers

Dad had a great idea for a family day on Friday.  So, we packed everyone up and went downtown to the Children's Museum.  Guess who was waiting for us when we got in?!  Bumblebee!!  He told us to get a membership so of course, we did.  I'm excited to go all winter long.

It was my first time there so Cole did an excellent job showing me the ropes.

Cole did a little scuba diving.  What a great looking 'splorer!

We both enjoyed the trains

Seriously... do I have the best big brother or what?!

I don't know what kind of church this is, but that pastor seems a little nutty!

Cole wanted corn rows, but Mom says school pictures are next week so just a little off the top this time please Henry.

I was all over the place in the kidscape area.

It's easy to be brave when you have a big strong guy looking out for you.

Cole even took me for a ride!

All Aboard the Vandy Express!

We were inseperable all day.  What an awesome family day.  Thanks Dad for the great idea!

Apple Orchard - Year Two

Can you believe it's already Apple Orchard Season again?  Last week, Mom and I headed out for our annual pre-school field trip.  There were only a few boys in attendance so this guy was my official best friend for the day.

It was freezing cold outside, but Mom and I soldiered on!

I knew ALL the words and the actions to the song.

If you're gonna go out in nature, you may as well look handsome doing it!

I got a whole bushel... or is this a peck?  Even though I've been telling Mom I learned about apples everyday when I come home from school for the last year, neither one of us has any idea what this haul is called.

And of course, I never miss an opportunity to schmooze the teacher!
Thanks for taking us Mrs. Izbicki and Mrs. Stricker!

Superstar

I start soccer this week so of course, Mom took me out to get all the cool equipment I needed.  I'm a big deal now!

I couldn't wait to get outside and try out my new cleats.

Does this bring back memories of another little Vandy superstar Grandma and Papa?

I'm on the purple team this year.  I can't wait!

Any interested parties are welcome to come watch my games:

Team Vandy

Mom came home very late Friday night.  When we woke up Saturday morning, we all had cool stuff to show off.  Mom had two scraped up knees and a front page picture in the Colorado Springs Gazette, B had a new tooth and Cole mastered a new big brother move!

Look at what a great team we make!  Go Team Vandy!

Brain Freeze

My new favorite treat - popsicles!

Unfortunately, they make me REALLY cold.

Nothing a nice warm bath can't fix.

And, my new favorite bath toy too.

Let the Games Begin

While Mom is away at the Olympic Village learning from atheletes and their coaches this week, B and I are home practicing the newest event in the Vandyville games - Baby Catching!  I am pretty good at it.  Basically, you just get in position when B is cruising on the furniture and swoop him up when he forgets to hold on!

I'm still working on my follow through though.  Coach tells me just tossing the baby aside once he is caught disqualifies me from the event.  It should also be noted that pushing the baby down in an attempt to move the game along is another disqualifier.  The Canadian judge will nail you everytime for that one.
I'll have it down by the time Mom gets home.  I sure do get plenty of practice thanks to B's determination to stand up and move about.
