Wonderworks

On Monday we found ourselves at this crazy place.
It was a completely upside down building.

Everything was messed up inside too.

Dad tried to convince us that we were actually upside down, but we didn't buy it.

We did buy tickets though! I was so excited.

You had to go through the inversion tunnel to get in. Mom almost hurled! Imagine inverted stomach contents flying around.

First stop was the storm section. We got to play with lightning.

We felt the temperature of the water that the poor people in the Titanic drowned in. They spent hours in it. We couldn't make it 30 seconds with just our hands!

Then we headed over to the earthquake exhibit.

Okay, it was pretty tame. You don't have to pretend Dad.

The hurricane was cool!

PUT THE CAMERA DOWN AND HANG ON MA!

We played with the speed of light.

Tackled the climbing wall. B wasn't sure he wanted to, but we pretty much made him.

If the old lady is going, you're going!

Of course, Mom made a friend in line who watched our stuff and took pictures of us.

Old lady butt.

For a guy who didn't want to go, B sure did scale that wall fearlessly.

He got about a foot away from the buzzer!

There goes the big guy.

And I'm the family Spider Boy of course.

I'm proud of my strong, active family!

Next, we got to experience motorcycles.

And a bit of snowboarding.

B worked a robotic arm.

While Dad and I worked beefcake arms in the baseball simulator.

Just bout then, things started to go south, well actually north. WAY north. B decided we were all going to do this crazy rope course at the very top of the building. I assure you, it looks a lot better than it is. We spent about 45 minutes in line and about 5 minutes on the course before Bryce decided he did not actually want to do it. Luckily Mom hated it too, so she was more than happy to leave with him.

A little fun with infared lights.

A little air hockey that used the heat from my hands to move the puck.

B was all about the Bed of Nails.

They were the real deal!

Before Mom could turn around to stop me, I had shoved my entire body into these pins that she was certain at least 1.5MM other snotty little kids had done before me.

No worries Ma. I'll just take my hands out. Oh, I need to take my face out too?!  If I'd let her, she would've baptized me in hand sanitizer.

We learned that more small pulleys make things easier than fewer large pulleys.

Not that studs like us need pulleys anyway.

Step aside old man. I got this.
Then we found ourselves at this brilliant game. You hook your brain up and the person who is most relaxed (least brain activity) moves the ball faster.

Any gamblers who know our family probably would've placed their money on the two high strung Vandys getting SMOKED by the two "go with the flow" Vandys.

But those high strung Vandys can apparently tune out quickly! B and Mom smoked Dad and I!
Pretty cool idea!

We finished up in the giant bubble section.

Giant bubbles are always a hit.

but full body bubbles?!  WOW!

We had an absolutely incredible time in the hands on museum. It was such a great choice!
