Culinary Creations By Cole

Here's my new lunch special.  I have insisted upon eating one of these
amazing sandwiches everyday for the past 3 days.  Last night I even made
one for Daddy.  I asked Mom to put them in my lunch this week too.
How are these not sold at McDonalds yet?!
YUM!

Good Things Come to Good Boys

From one of my parents, I inherited the gene that simply will not allow
me to back down until I get exactly what I want.  My buddy Will and I have been
working on a play date for MONTHS and today... finally, it happened.
We couldn't have been more excited to spend the day together.

We played inside, outside, and in every room with every toy in the house.
Will tackled the big scary ladder on Ft. Vandy with little trouble at all.

Since we play together at school most days, we already had all our games
mapped out.  It was an awesome day for everyone - especially Mom who only
had to make sure we didn't plow B over in our frantic state of constant play.

B hung in like a champ though!  Like all my friends, Will was super nice to
him and he was just happy to be somewhere amidst the action.

We started plotting a sleepover...  I'm hoping it goes down!

I think you'd be hard pressed to find two more well behaved boys in the
tri-state area :)

What a great day!  Thanks Will's Mom and My Mom for finally working it out!

Snakes and Snails - Not Here!

Last week, hygeine was all but forgotten while Mom was away.
We were stinky, dirty manly men!
This week, it's a different story.  sigh.
At least Mom lets me reinact scenes from Pirates of the Carribean
while I have to de-funkify.

It's been a little boring without B in the bath for three weeks.
Dr. Miner said he couldn't have water in his ears so can you believe
he got away with NO hair washing for 21 days?!  How do I get in on that deal?!

He got a clean bill of health and the go-ahead to scrub on Monday.
Since he's been super cranky all week and will NOT be put down,
he also experienced his first shower this week.
I'm a little worried about how much he liked it, because I like
messing with, I mean cleaning him during MY bathtime!
C'mon Mom...  He's my bath toy, not yours.

Week in Review

Back to business this week.  I'm learning about Penguins at school
so of course, I try to teach my family too.
Mom and I made a picture of a Emperor Penguin.
I always write a sentence about my pictures now.
This time, I wrote "My Penguin is eating a fish."

I built an epic train track this week too. B is getting much better about
not being Babyzilla and 'stroying all my cool stuff.  He's really into
trains and trucks.

He's expecially good at making the noises!

But... he's still a stinker at heart.  His newest way of getting under my
skin is to turn the t.v. off and run like the dickens.  He thinks it's pretty
funny, but I do NOT.

Mom says all in all, we're the best of friends who get along wonderfully.
Mostly it's because I'm a super patient older brother.
How could you be anything but nice to a guy like my little bro?

Give a Man a Fish

As you probably know, Mama Vandygriff is not known for spending much time
in the kitchen.  Around here, if a man wants to eat, most of the time he has
to take matters into his own hands.
Luckily, I've quickly learned how to get Cole to open the fridge so I can
get myself a little snack.

What?  Do I have something in my teeth?

Bon Apetite!

Upgrade!

Mom left us again this week.  It's never tough to say goodbye when
a certain SUPER Mom comes to take her place for a few days.  We
couldn't have been happier to cuddle with Grandma for a few days.

B is getting REALLY big and talking up a storm.
We think Grandma was pretty impressed with his
girth and gabbing :)  He's also become a champion hugger
which is a definite Vandygriff family must.

Here's a nice action shot of our little bruiser.

Thanks for taking such great care of us Grandma!
Of course, there are no pictures after you left.
Some things, like "guys week" are best left to the imagination.

Can You See What I See?

We went to see Dr. Plager my eye specialist this morning and he said my vision has improved in my right eye!  That means the patch is working and we'll keep it up.  He checked little B's eyes too and said he's a little farsighted so we'll be watching him closely.  I also got NEW glasses so I'm excited to trade these old beat up specs in for the new set when they come in.

Conversations With Cole

Dad:  "Cole...  Do you know what Katie told me?  She said she was your girlfriend.  Are you going to marry Katie?"
Cole:  "Dad!  I can NOT marry Katie!   Because Dad...  I'm a secret agent and secret agents are not married."

The BEST!

You may have noticed a familiar face missing from our blog these past couple of months.
I have really been missing my best bud!
Since I was such a good sport about getting up 3 hours early and being so
good at the hospital while B had his tubes put in, I got to have a sleepover!
As usual, we had the BEST time and got along perfectly.

We put on a move show for Mom and B.

We made elaborate castles, ships, and Cars 2 scenes.

We ran around like wild men, then helped Dad build a fort and settled in for
popcorn and a movie.
What an awesome night!
Thanks Vann for coming over.  I can't wait to do it again bud!
A couple of months ago, Dad let me push the cart at the man store with him.
Ever since then, I cannot be stopped!  I HAVE to be pushing the cart
whenever we shop.  When we saw a little "B" sized cart at the
store last week, I just had to have it.

I love deciding what to put in it and pushing it round and round the house.

I may not be the best driver just yet...

But I sure do love it!  As an added bonus, Cole will not go anywhere near this toy
because "it's for girls."  Whatever!  I'll take it!

Tubes

Here's our little trooper waiting for his tubes.

Of course Buddy was there for the whole thing.
B was gone about 20 minutes and came back a little out of it
but by the time we checked out, he was doing great.

Anyone who knows my little brother will not be surprised to hear he bounced RIGHT
back from surgery and is his happy rowdy self.  Thanks for the phone calls, emails,
texts, prayers and thoughts!  We were in and out and on our way in no time at all.
Thank God for our strong, healthy little man.
