Last of the Critters

Okay the farm is cool and all, but after a couple of hours, it was losing it's appeal.
Plus... there were LIVE electic fences everywhere! This means the Moms were extra nutty. I think they were looking more forward to getting back on the buses than any of us were.

So we dumped the last of our chips onto the ducks.

and went over to learn about bees. The guy said (to a bunch of kindergarten students) "Hey if a bee comes around you, just stand still and chill." Um.... has he MET any kindergarten students?! We don't stand still and chill ever!

He told us all about the hives and the queen bee and such.

Then we each got to go take a peek at the bees.

Kind of gross and cool all at once. There's only one queen per hive.

The guy said "the queen only makes male babies" and mom said "just like me!"

Thanks for the visit bees. We're about done being still for now.
