Good to Be King

The big day finally arrived!  We have all been working diligently on a little surprise for the King of our little Chicago - my brother B!  We love you SO much little man and had a great time planning and enjoying your party.
Dad and I came up with the idea to turn the basement into his favorite place - Chicago!

Guess who stayed up doing all the arts and crafts every night?  Dad and I cleaned out the back room and did the grunt work while Mom did the shopping and cutting and pasting.

Of course Tania came and helped put just the right touched on!  She added the sticker windows to our skyline and had a brilliant idea to use the mattress inflator on the the zillion balloons!

When your little brother has to share his big day with something as big as Christmas, it's important to make sure he gets the attention he deserves.  I worked really hard to keep it a secret and also gave him his second favorite thing - a firework gun!  Then, I spent the entire morning staring at the ceiling in Mom and Dad's room with him as he shot off the same two pictures and 5 sound effects.  It's the little things...

Oh and if you think little B is only loved by his family, you're dead wrong!  Of course his bestie Jonah was there, and our life long friend Quentin.

My, er... our Sissy :)

Our good buddy will came, and of course there's Uncle Gavin, Izzy and all the Mommies.

Oli and B's other bestie, Alex enjoyed the trains.

We just adore this little dude :)

Mom got smart and set up tables in the newly clean back room.

Okay, Mom wants me to comment on Will's ultimate cuteness, but c'mon...  I'm a dude.

As usual, it was my job to A.  Look out for B and his friends and B.  Make sure everyone who was new or hadn't been here, felt comfortable.  As usual, I didn't disappoint!

Another ultimate cuteness shot for the ladies.

Speaking of ladies!  There wasn't a grown up in the house who didn't fall in love with this little princess!  Davis' sister Darcy stole the show!

Obligatory cake shot.

Mom let us sample the goods.

Yup.  That'll do!

Second Opinion.
And, he loved it.  I'm not gonna brag, but I helped pick the cake.

Like me, B is lucky to be surrounded with really great friends.

Okay, Will's Mommy was taking pictures.  B, do we need to tell Jonah Mommy, you have ANOTHER crush?

Look what Izzy did for him!  Another little skyline from our favorite artist.

Some of us came out looking like the Grinch after playing with the chalk a little over enthusiastically.

Jonah's party is next!

You were waiting for the pinata pics weren't you?!

I'm not going to lie, you take your own life into your hands when you watch the pinata smash at a Vandy party.  Our friends take it pretty seriously.

And.. we had some serious sluggers in the house.

Okay, here's why we all love Darcy!

How can you not?!

Speaking of little princesses we all adore :)

The party ended just like our trip to Chicago - with Fireworks.  Thanks to Dad's connection on the black market, we scored some serious fireworks in the middle of December to end the night with style.

I got to go out with Daddy and Uncle Louie and Jason to help!  Um... that is until Uncle Louie accidently shot a firework my way and Mom hauled my butt back inside.

The Momparazzi will try to photograph anything under any conditions.  It's pitiful.  We were a little worried about upsetting the neighbors, but most of them came outside to cheer!  What a great show Daddy put on.

I am starting to suspect they use our birthdays as excuses to party with THEIR cool Mom and Dad friends.

Oh well, we'll take it!

Half of us ended up shirtless and ALL of us ended the night exhausted.  Happy Birthday to the best little brother I could ask for.  We love you Bryce!
