It all started when Mom's flight home from New York got canceled on Thursday.  She wound up in Cincinnati at midnight.  Of course, we hopped in the car and drove over to pick her up.  On the way home, Dad asked "hey, you wanna come back this weekend?"  And just like that.... the greatest weekend trip was conceived! We ended up at Great Wolf Lodge early Saturday afternoon.

Not only was the waterpark AMAZING, it was also almost completely empty.
We couldn't have asked for a better location.

I had a great time exploring.

B did too!

Even though he isn't big on water, that kid had an absolute blast playing.

We got along so well.  Trips with my brother are SO much cooler.

I couldn't even FAKE a bad attitude.

Mom tried to put B in this silly little suit which he thought was the funniest thing ever.

What a good sport.

Dad tried to sneak some 'laxing in.  NO DEAL POP!

Can you believe he even sprung for the more expensive suite with BUNK BEDS for B and I?!
Our Dad is the best!

Even though he was not allowed up top, our little man thought he was the coolest kid alive in these bunks.

I don't mean to brag, but I was so good, I'm pretty sure you can call me a living legend.
B was legendary for other reasons, like emptying an entire box of kleenex into the garbage, and refusing to sleep and such.

Mom and Dad took us to a show before bedtime.  All the kids thought it was pretty great.

Dad had to wrangle the littlest Vandy back to the room before he got kicked out for rowdiness.  Mom and I stayed for a funny bedtime story.
I passed out about 2.7 seconds after we got back to the room.
B was up ALL night.

Thankfully, Starbucks refills were only $.53 so Mom and Dad were on their game bright and early on Father's Day.
Here we are posing with the world's greatest Dad who proved he can be impulsive too!
I know what you're thinking and yes, there are more ribs in this picture than muscles, but we're working on that!

After a few hours of fun in the sun and on the slides, we came back to the room.
B quickly called out for a pizza.

I tried to help, but they kept asking for payment and everybody knows kids don't actually PAY for anything.  When you're a kid, things just appear!

Okay, we do pay with smiles and smooches and other such sweetness.

The pizza dude would not accept, so we pretended to call Bugga and tell him jokes instead.

Thanks Daddy for an absolutely fantastic family weekend.  It was almost half as great as you are!
We sure do love you.
