Daddy n' Me

Although I'm still pretty stuck on my Mama, I love my Dad to bits and pieces and I think he might feel the same way.

Like Cole, I'm always coming up with new tricks and LOVE showing them to the coolest guy I know.

I yell "Ta-Dah!"

Love you Pops!

18 Months

I'm 18 Months today!  As is typical of all little Vandy's, I'm a rowdy, active, VERY talkative little man.
I love to play.  Cole and I love to wrestle, yell, be silly and play pretend.  We're the best of friends STILL.
I am a champion talker as well.  I can say anything you ask me to say.  I know how to say "Open Please, Close, Airplane, Hot and I understand many complex commands such as "put it in the garbage!"

And, I'm still cute as a button!  I love to cuddle, can hug and kiss like none other and love my Mama and Daddy to bits and pieces.
Other Favorites:
food - beef, chicken, broccoli, grapes and milk
toys - balls, cars and trains
people - cole, bugga, daddy and mom
pets - Boots and Bella, graham and sammy
words - Uh oh, Bye-Bye, Cooooolllleeee, Mama, Daddy, Airplane, Car and Up
Life is pretty good at 1.5.  Sweeter everyday that I get to know this world a little better.

Father's Day Weekend

As you know, around here we love our Daddy.  We spent a long time shopping for him and planning ways to ensure he had an awesome weekend because he spends about 20 hrs./day planning ways to ensure we all have awesome lives.

We thought and thought...  It was hot out so we had to stay hydrated to ensure our brains were working at optimal levels.

Then, we got it!

A perfect weekend for this guy is just time with us guys!
That's something we can do.

Especially when our weekend starts with the ULTIMATE gift from our girls.
Look what they brought over for us.  Of course, Daddy set it right up.

And one of us loved it.  The other one loved watching it.

This kid could not be stopped!  Parker came over and things got REALLY rowdy.

A BBQ with our friends the Oppermans and plenty of snuggling/family time rounded out a fantastic weekend for us here in Vandyville.  We love you Pops.  Thanks for making all of our happy days possible.

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

It all started when Mom's flight home from New York got canceled on Thursday.  She wound up in Cincinnati at midnight.  Of course, we hopped in the car and drove over to pick her up.  On the way home, Dad asked "hey, you wanna come back this weekend?"  And just like that.... the greatest weekend trip was conceived! We ended up at Great Wolf Lodge early Saturday afternoon.

Not only was the waterpark AMAZING, it was also almost completely empty.
We couldn't have asked for a better location.

I had a great time exploring.

B did too!

Even though he isn't big on water, that kid had an absolute blast playing.

We got along so well.  Trips with my brother are SO much cooler.

I couldn't even FAKE a bad attitude.

Mom tried to put B in this silly little suit which he thought was the funniest thing ever.

What a good sport.

Dad tried to sneak some 'laxing in.  NO DEAL POP!

Can you believe he even sprung for the more expensive suite with BUNK BEDS for B and I?!
Our Dad is the best!

Even though he was not allowed up top, our little man thought he was the coolest kid alive in these bunks.

I don't mean to brag, but I was so good, I'm pretty sure you can call me a living legend.
B was legendary for other reasons, like emptying an entire box of kleenex into the garbage, and refusing to sleep and such.

Mom and Dad took us to a show before bedtime.  All the kids thought it was pretty great.

Dad had to wrangle the littlest Vandy back to the room before he got kicked out for rowdiness.  Mom and I stayed for a funny bedtime story.
I passed out about 2.7 seconds after we got back to the room.
B was up ALL night.

Thankfully, Starbucks refills were only $.53 so Mom and Dad were on their game bright and early on Father's Day.
Here we are posing with the world's greatest Dad who proved he can be impulsive too!
I know what you're thinking and yes, there are more ribs in this picture than muscles, but we're working on that!

After a few hours of fun in the sun and on the slides, we came back to the room.
B quickly called out for a pizza.

I tried to help, but they kept asking for payment and everybody knows kids don't actually PAY for anything.  When you're a kid, things just appear!

Okay, we do pay with smiles and smooches and other such sweetness.

The pizza dude would not accept, so we pretended to call Bugga and tell him jokes instead.

Thanks Daddy for an absolutely fantastic family weekend.  It was almost half as great as you are!
We sure do love you.
