2 Months

I turned two months old yesterday.  Life has been a little up and down for me this month.  My tummy is feeling much better, and at the drs. office today, there was no more blood in my diaper!  Unfortunately, I've got a pesky ear infection!  I'm still growing like a weed though.  I'm 13 lbs and 22 1/4 inches.

And here's a link to my brother's journal entries when he was 2 months old.  Man, that kid had a lot of hair!

Literacy Night

This month is all about reading in our schools.  To celebrate literacy, Sydney's school had a super fun Literacy Night!
I made a bookmark for Daddy who is reading a lot this month in preparation for his licensing tests.

We played games and made crafts.

The highlight of the evening was when Sydney read to us!  I cheered for her.  She did a great job.

I was so proud!

Then I got my face painted.  The lady was a little surprised when I asked for fire, but I explained that I am Ghost Rider and she seemed to understand.

At the end of the night I put on a little show for everyone.  I showed them all my Superhero moves.

Happy Reading Month!  Check ya later!

The Family Vandygriff

My artistic abilities have definitely evolved.  I now draw heads, arms and legs.  I even gave Boots and Bella tails.
Who needs professional photography when you have an artist like this around?

Conversations With Cole

Cole (in bed last night):  I love you Mom.  You're my girlfriend.
Mom:  Oh, thank you!  I love you too buddy.  And we love Bryce & Daddy too.
Cole:  Yeah.  We love Kurt Daddy.  but...... he doesn't have a girlfriend.
Mom: (snickers)  Oh No?
Cole:  No.... but that's okay.   Maybe 'morrow we can find him a girlfriend.
Mom:  That's a great plan, honey.  Let's find a girlfriend for Kurt Daddy tomorrow.

So we are now taking applications for a girlfriend for Daddy. Mom says she must be a great cook and be willing to clean and change diapers :)

Happy Valentine's Day

I had a Valentine's Day party at school this week!  Mom came along to help out.  Here I am getting in trouble and having to sit with Mrs. Herzog during storytime.  Oops.

As usual, my best buddy Braylon and I stayed glued to each other's side.

We made a card for Daddy, made chocolates out of play-doh, handed out Valentine's treats to our friends, played Pin the Heart on the Cupid, ran in the gym AND played musical hearts.  What a great party!

Braylon got a hold of Mom's camera and snapped away.  Here's a shot of my #1 Valentine (she leaves me no choice).

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

Brotherly Love

It's much easier to bond with my little bro now that he's feeling better!  Here I am showing him my new Lizard Man toy that Mom and Dad gave me for Valentine's Day.  I'm supposed to be "Wolverine" since I have no shirt on.

We train em early around here.  Doesn't Bryce look great in his Spidey shirt?

Mom and I wondered how the little dude will look if he needs glasses too.
I thought this was HILARIOUS.  Thanks for the laugh, bro.

It's been a fantastic weekend with my happy little brother.  The absolute highlight was a visit from Grandma Pam and Grandpa Gene though.  Bryce fell in love right away with Grandma Pam.  I can tell he's going to love them just as much as we do.  We'll BOTH be racing next door as soon as the weather warms up.

Happy Baby, Happy Home

Bryce is feeling better and crying less everyday!  He's even smiling now.  We are all so glad that he's feeling better.
P.S.  Excuse Mom's annoying voice.  She read that babies prefer high pitched voices so we all have to endure this when she's trying to make Bryce smile.

Mr. Fantastic & Sue Storm

On Saturday, Mom and I got a fantastic treat.  Aunty Lydia brought Taylor over to play!  I immediately named him Mr. Fantastic - you can see why.  He's tall, dark, thin and handsome too!  I had a blast building forts, reading books, and doing all the things we superheroes do while Mom and Aunty Lydia talked about boring stuff like weddings and babies.

Of course you know that Mr. Fantastic is married to Sue Storm.  Aunty Lydia makes the perfect Sue!  I can see why Taylor snatched her up.

Thank you so much for the visit!  We love you guys!

We Love Snow Days!

The bright side of this awful weather we're having is that schools are closed and e managed to steal some time with our girls.  Even though he's only 6 weeks old, Bryce knew right away that Sydney was super cool.  He was in heaven snuggling with her.

We had a great time even though we were cooped up inside all day.

Thanks for turning our dull day into a super fun one, girls!

And don't worry - we are keeping nice and warm in the matching hats Oma sent.  Thanks Oma!

Ice Storm!

We woke up to a winter MESS today.  It's really pretty outside, but we'd hate to have to drive in this mess.  There's a solid layer of ice on everything.  Walking on our lawn is like walking on a lake that's started to freeze over.  The ice crackles and everything.

Mom took a little walk around and almost bit it trying to get from the lawn to the sidewalk.

So, we are staying inside snuggling up and watching movies today.  Not a bad deal!
