More Vacation Shots

Mom got me a beach hunk shell necklace.  I was pretty much the beefiest dude around.  Okay, maybe not the beefiest, but definitely one of the cutest!

Most days we ended up at St. Armand's circle for frozen yogurt, lunch, clowns, shopping or just a break from the sand.

Mom and Dad kept us out of the coolest stores.

But we did our fair share of window shopping...er... and smearing

We got along really well!

Oh, then B got his square glasses and wouldn't take them off no matter what we were doing or what time of day it was.  He told everyone we met "Nice to meet you, I a cool guy."

We really liked this restaurant because there was live music and we got to sit up high and outside!

We made one Mommy cry because she saw how cute we were and it made her miss her son.  Our Mama was ALL smile though!

My new pose.

Each day ended the same way.  A walk on the beach, a scrub in the tub, a movie and sleep.

Oh oops...  of course we wrestled first!

This is a nighttime routine no matter where we are :)

Beach Boys

When we finally arrived, we were tired but READY for the ocean!  We couldn't get there fast enough.  Mom and Dad kept us covered from head to toe in SPF 60 so there was plenty of gunk in our hair.

Cole enjoyed doing Karate Kid moves on the beach each night when we took a walk.

You won't believe this, but I was attached to Mom's hip the entire trip!

Dad enjoyed the calm water and the warm sunshine too!

It was impossible to keep us dry or sand free.

Oh... and EVERY seashell was a treasure to us!

We were in FL, so you know... we took up the native game.

B lost any sign of eyebrows by day 2.  His hair is as light as hair gets.

He also got SUPER excited and insisted we all run over every time he saw a bug.

Mom was more interested in the flora.

Blogger has not been co-operating this week.  Here's another shot of B on the beach.

and yeah... that kid owned this game.

I spent many hours in the pool perfecting my cannonball and practicing going underwater. I met a new friend from Argentina.  His name is Augustine and he doesn't speak English.  We had a great time and I thought it was hilarious that Augustine's Mom didn't really wear much of a swimsuit.  It was all I could do to keep a straight face when she was around!

Oh, and yeah...  Mom, Dad and I made the world's coolest sandcastle!

Bon Voyage

Here we are boarding the plane before the sun was even up.

I loved looking out the window!

Cole was slightly nervous on take-off and preferred his window down.

And.... WE're Off!

Mom and Dad pulled us out of bed at 4:30am and stuck us straight in the truck!

We were heading to FLORIDA!  The Airport was cool even in our zombie state of mind.

Of course, Mom pushed us right into the cockpit where we got our first sets of wings!

Sunshine!

Lately, I've ditched my grumpy way and have turned into an absolute joy.  My new favorite things to do are hug, kiss and shake hands.

Mom thinks it's because of the warmed weather and is urging Dad to please buy us a vacation home on the beach.  Dad says it's because I'm also now speaking in full sentences and get less frustrated.

Me... I just know I'm big, smart and handsome.  What's not to be happy about?!

Our Gifts For Mama Vandy

We have been celebrating Mom for a few weeks now!  We helped Dad plant two honeycrisp apple trees for her and Dad gave her a carpet cleaner early thanks to Boots and Bella and their terrible potty habits.  Of course, on her special day, we gave her plenty of her favorite things:  Perfume, a running book, slippers and plenty of homemade treasures from us.
But of course, the best gift we can give her is two little boys who love each other and get along.  Cole continues to to amaze all of us with his kind heart and complete love for me - even when I'm a giant stinker.

He always helps me, he and his friends include and look out for me, and now he is my favorite wrestling partner too!  We love to cuddle and wrestle and wreak havoc.  We are truly the best of friends and Mom reminds us all the time that nothing makes her happier than knowing we've got each other.

We LOVE This Man!

After baseball, we loaded up the truck and drove up to South Bend for what Bugga thought was a nice Mother's Day Dinner at Tippecanoe Place, which is actually the old home of the Studebaker family.  We paused for a picture with our beloved Grandma on steps.  I thought it was a castle and wanted desperately to explore!

I was even MORE impressed to learn that almost 7 years ago, two young lovebirds stood on these very steps after committing their lives to one another.  Look at them now with two more to add to the photo!

Okay enough with the walk down memory lane and back to present day!  Bugga and I made our way up the stairs ready to sit down to a nice meal and see our little family.  Man, we were BOTH surprised to see a room full of people who love him to bits and pieces.  He has dear friends who came from all over the country just to celebrate him.  I was a little miffed that I wasn't in on the plan, but Mom reminded me of my terrible secret keeping skills and I guess I understand.
Trouble with formatting but the invitation is above and here's the back.  No wonder Mom kept asking us what we loved about Bugga!

Oh...  and guess who loves him most of all!  Grandma pulled together a wonderful evening and wrote him the sweetest poem.  He deserves to be loved by everyone!

Uncle Danny flew in.  We were all so happy.

Izzy, Oli and I got mixed drinks!  OJ, Cranberry Juice and Sprite.  Oh yeah... we're big time now!

All the ladies pulled Mom aside to tell her how beautiful B and I are.  Yeesh!

I stole Mom's camera and took some pictures of the cool old house.  Dad took me down in the elevator.  Mom and B got stuck in it!  Did you know it's the third elevator ever installed?!  Not the best place to be stuck with a terrified and over-tired two year old Ma.

Oli and I were inseperable as usual.

And when he wasn't running around kissing Ota, Bugga, Grandma and Uncle Scott, B was also in his usual spot.

Or with Izzy!

Oh!  And there was CAKE!!!

Dearest Bugga, you are so loved by our family.  We're lucky to have you in our lives and wish you the happiest 70th birthday ever!
