We LOVE This Man!

After baseball, we loaded up the truck and drove up to South Bend for what Bugga thought was a nice Mother's Day Dinner at Tippecanoe Place, which is actually the old home of the Studebaker family.  We paused for a picture with our beloved Grandma on steps.  I thought it was a castle and wanted desperately to explore!

I was even MORE impressed to learn that almost 7 years ago, two young lovebirds stood on these very steps after committing their lives to one another.  Look at them now with two more to add to the photo!

Okay enough with the walk down memory lane and back to present day!  Bugga and I made our way up the stairs ready to sit down to a nice meal and see our little family.  Man, we were BOTH surprised to see a room full of people who love him to bits and pieces.  He has dear friends who came from all over the country just to celebrate him.  I was a little miffed that I wasn't in on the plan, but Mom reminded me of my terrible secret keeping skills and I guess I understand.
Trouble with formatting but the invitation is above and here's the back.  No wonder Mom kept asking us what we loved about Bugga!

Oh...  and guess who loves him most of all!  Grandma pulled together a wonderful evening and wrote him the sweetest poem.  He deserves to be loved by everyone!

Uncle Danny flew in.  We were all so happy.

Izzy, Oli and I got mixed drinks!  OJ, Cranberry Juice and Sprite.  Oh yeah... we're big time now!

All the ladies pulled Mom aside to tell her how beautiful B and I are.  Yeesh!

I stole Mom's camera and took some pictures of the cool old house.  Dad took me down in the elevator.  Mom and B got stuck in it!  Did you know it's the third elevator ever installed?!  Not the best place to be stuck with a terrified and over-tired two year old Ma.

Oli and I were inseperable as usual.

And when he wasn't running around kissing Ota, Bugga, Grandma and Uncle Scott, B was also in his usual spot.

Or with Izzy!

Oh!  And there was CAKE!!!

Dearest Bugga, you are so loved by our family.  We're lucky to have you in our lives and wish you the happiest 70th birthday ever!
