Bouncing Foul

I don't think we'll ever outgrow this thing.

It's irresitable! Even Kiley had to jump on board. We didn't have the heart to tell her it was just for little kids.

She soon found out though.

Right about the time she sent that little toddler F L Y I N G.

Oops! No worries Kiley! He was just fine and we all got a great laugh :)

Keep Trying Ma!

The old gal didn't lose heart after her beat down at the log. Climbing is kind of our thing, so of course we tackled this new wall together.

She started out alright.

But she got a little stuck near the top. Something about her feet being too big? What??

I scurried right on up to my buzzer and gave it a ring. Sorry Mom! Catch you at the bottom!

She said she probably had a better chance at beating me on the trip down since she weighs twice as much.

But nope, still beat her. Thanks for playing old gal!

Yada Yada

Some of the usual fun attractions have become a little ho hum for us. The slide needed some serious waxing. It took us about 5 minutes to get down.

Did we mention that Kiley is a great sport?!  She's up for anything!

We didn't go back for another round. Yawn!

This climb used to be a major accomplishment for us. Now...  sigh.

Even the pedal cars weren't all that exciting. C'mon guys, on to bigger and better!

Butt Kicking Upgrade!

Bet you didn't see this one coming! That crazy log operator must've thought Mom was pretty mean to laugh so hard at her kiddos getting annihilated because he looked over and said "Hey, you wanna try it?"  Of course Kiley was game, so Mom went in too.

I went in just to make sure the old lady didn't break a hip or something.

See Ma? This is how you do it.

No Mom. Um....  you have to actually JUMP.

and no... it doesn't help to stare it down. That barely works on us anymore either!

At least Kiley got up in the air.

Oh Mom... This isn't going to end well.

Well the gals were troopers, but I did notice that Mom was holding her back and wincing a bit afterwards. Maybe leave the butt kicking to us young guys, eh old lady??

Annual Butt Kicking

Mom's favorite part of Lark Ranch is laughing at us as we get our butt's kicked by this mechanical log each year.

The operator was a maniac this year!

I went flying over and over again.

Just when I thought I was getting it...

He'd get me again!

This thing is no joke.

Even for a kid with mad vertical skills like me, it was really tough.
Poor little B had no shot.

Not even close.

He hung in there though.

Next year buddy!

Return to Lark Ranch

October means it's time for our annual trip to Lark Ranch. Some things never change - like our willingness to take nice photos.

Or our exuberance for gem mining.

I think Daddy likes this station best of all.

But there were new things this year too!

Like this cool new tree house.

Can you find the little Vandy in this picture?

We were all set to take a nice photo until I realized that my head was lodged up against the cow's booty. Yikes!

Also new! Look who came with us this year! Uncle Scott and his super new girlfriend Kiley. She is a TON of fun and we adore her.

Here we are at Lark Ranch in 2013

2015

As you can see, there are plenty of things that change and some that stay the same :)
Happy Fall!

Stunt Riders

Mom took us to the park to ride bikes and collect leaves today. It was only a matter of time before we found something much more fun to do. Now we want stunt bikes for Christmas!
