Great Canadian Adventure - The Wedding

Of course we all made a beeline for the potty when we finally arrived at Bonne Cherre Caves. Then we had to go outside to wash our hands!

We thought this was the coolest idea EVER.

Our hands have never been so clean.

Aunty Charlotte looked spectacular!

We had to wait just a bit for Uncle Phil to come out of the cave, and we dive bombed him when he did!

We finally got to meet our new cousin Merlin.

The happy couple.

Mom got the two of us and herself dressed en route. Daddy had to change when we arrived so he was the last one out. He was happy to see Uncle Phil too.

Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug!

Hooray for reunions!

They haven't changed a bit.

Look how strong Uncle Noodle is!

I think he likes us.

What's not to like?

B kept yelling about wanting to be a skeleton. Mom finally figured out that he wanted to take his picture here.

More happiness

Merlin and Coley became instant buds.

While B got busy burning off a BUNCH of pent up little boy energy.

He quickly became a crowd favorite.

Aunty Charlotte's family speaks French. They were so cool!

Mom and Aunty Charlotte sure did hug and cry a lot. Weird...

Time to start! Aunty Charlotte's sister put us in the mood with some incense.

Then into the cave we went.
It was hard to not push pass Hind but Mom kept telling me to BE CAREFUL. Okay Mom, you're the one who was silly enough to wear high heels!

We weren't afraid at all.

As promised! There were bats!

Not very many, but they were there!

We came to an opening in the cave walls and there were lots of candles and some chairs. Time to get hitched Unc!

Bat Cave Selfie

This guy was pretty funny. His name is Tyler and he was sort of like Uncle Phil's best man.

The ceremony was bi-lingual!

Mom says they were all speaking the language of love. Okay, that's really lame Mom!

We passed their rings around and everyone added their wishes for the new couple.

Oh and there was writing inside!

One of the bats started flying around during the ceremony. Yikes!

Finally, the "I Do's."

And hugs and Congrats!

We love you Aunty Charlotte!

Time to leave the cave.

It was well lit so that was good! It sure was cold in there though.

Mom said Daddy looked so handsome.

It felt like we were in Ireland at the exit. What a pretty place!

Mom issued many stern warnings to stay ON the path.

How did she know we might stray? We are the very picture of innocence and obedience.

Lots of mischief around for us to explore.

After signing their lives away, the happy newlyweds emerged to cheers and more hugs.

Sweet Photo bomb!

Here's a new tradition one of us really liked. Shots!

To many many years of bliss.

Cole politely declined, but B was all about the child's version of this beverage!

He did "Cheers" with everyone there.

Then he tried to swipe Mom's shot when his was all gone. Luckily Hind was on hand to distract him.

Back to little boy shenanigans.

If you're ever near Eganville, ON we strongly recommend the Bonnechere Caves!

They even have their own little waterfall!

Even Jesus sent a little message to the new couple.
Congratulations Uncle Phil and Aunty Charlotte! We are SO happy for you.

The Great Canadian Adventure - Scenes From Ontario

Canada is really beautiful! The Momparazzi was in heaven snapping photos as we cruised down the highway.

So many pretty colors

Lakes, swamps...

Rocks?!

and when the sun came out?

It was absolutely breathtaking!

This was the best day to be in the front passenger seat looking out the window.

Mom and Dad didn't get bored
around every corner was another surprise

we don't have rocks and hills like this in Indiana!

As Mom and Dad ooohed and ahhhed for hours and hours...

Here's how we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. The Momparazzi says we're nuts :)

The Great Canadian Adventure - Crossing Over!

Every morning on our trip was the same, we woke up, ate breakfast, then headed to the pool. Mom swam with us while Daddy worked out. We needed our exercise because we spent an average of 5 hrs/day in the car! On Saturday morning, we arrived at the border.

Scenes from the back seat...

Mom was pretty excited to be back in Canada. They do have a very pretty flag!

Okay, and we were not exactly clued in to what happened at the border, but from what we heard in the back, the border guard was NOT a nice guy. Thankfully, we knew Canadians were not ALL like that!

We had to cruise quickly through Toronto due to a miscalculation on Mom's part that threatened to make us late for the wedding.

In Canada, the speed limit signs are posted in Kilometers. Dad's plan was to feign ignorance if he got caught flying down the freeway trying to make it to the bat caves in time.

Oh, and Mom was there...

The Great Canadian Adventure - Niagara Falls!

I've been looking forward to fall break for at least 6 weeks now because Mom told us we were heading up to Canada to see Uncle Phil get married! We left Thursday night, slept over in Cleveland and went to Niagara Falls today.
Here I am at Niagara Falls State Park. It should be noted that we got the MOST license plates for our road trip game in the parking lot at Niagara Falls State Park. Jackpot!

B thought the squirrels and Sea Gulls were cooler than anything else he saw all day!

After barely escaping a VERY affectionate Grandma in the bathroom who wouldn't stop petting me and telling Mom how handsome I am, I struck a pose with this guy.

B too!

Then we went over to the falls. They were amazing!

It's not very easy to get B to pose nicely for pictures.

See?

We spent a good amount of time walking around in the rain looking at the falls and the rapids that feed into them. When we were thoroughly soaked, we went back to the hotel to relax.

Best Buds

By now, this should be a familiar face. Coley's team almost got into the Championship game after playing two games (4 hours) on Sunday. When it was looking REALLY good for a third game, Mom found Alex's Mom and asked if I could go home with them for a couple of hours. Alex and I were SO excited, but the Cubbies ended up missing out by only one run so we quickly turned VERY upset. It turned out alright though because I got to go to Alex's house after school today instead! We are the best of friends and I'm so happy to get to grow up with this cool guy.
