Mill Race Marathon

On Friday we got all packed up and drove down to Columbus, IN for a race.  We stayed overnight and got up nice and early to go cheer Mom on in her second Marathon.  She didn't have a great race, but she was really happy to be able to cross the finish line with us!

As usual, we made sure she gave it her all by racing top speed across to the end!

B even gave her flowers from the landscaping.

We're proud of you Mom!

Current Events

Well just when we thought we couldn't possibly see more spiders in Vandyville, we were proven wrong!  They are EVERYWHERE and man are they ever big.

School is going very well.  I bring home perfect math and spelling papers and am getting better at writing too.  As you can see, I work out.

Writing sample.  Mom found it interesting that she got a command sentence.

And we are loving the fall weather!  Here we are blowing bubbles with our buddy Boots.

I didn't let B have my bubbles.  He had already dumped his (as usual).

He's happy to chase them around anyway.

Happy Fall everyone!

Aunty Heaven!

Daddy and Cole went to Holiday World with Gaines and his family yesterday.  I was kind of upset about being left behind until I found out I got to have Aunty Heaven all to myself!

I showed her just how... um... interesting I can be.

Ah, she loves we little Vandy boys no matter what.  So great to see our old friend who seems to only get more and more beautiful.  I even told her she was Ariel, while I was King Tritan.  Mom of course, was flounder.  obviously!

Afterparty

We had a house full of our favorite people.  Jonah sure does love his Mommy!

Okay, not to brag, but we sure do have nice looking friends!

And family too!  Aunty Heather brought Izzy and Oli over!

Of course, Jonah and I were glued together.  Will was right there with us :)
And our favorite little man Henry was on hand to ensure maximum smiles and cuteness.  Thanks everyone who came out to run and party with us!

Color Me Rad!

Mommy's work sponsored a team of 30 runners, gave us t-shirts and made a nice donation to the Special Olympics of Indiana this weekend.  We got to go out and get DURTY with some of our very favorite people.  Grandma ran with us!

Of course, Jonah and B "ran!"  Will's Mom and Levi's whole family ran too.
Here we are at the finish.

Some of us enjoyed getting dirty a little more than others.  Grandma did a great job dodging the color and keeping B happy :)

Some Grandma's knit, some bake cookies, mine does all of that and more!

Here are more of the people who ran.  We had 38 total team members.  Even though I was pretty tired from sleeping over at Jeremiah's the night before, I rallied to help Mom and Dad host the after party at our house!

Fall Fun!

Shortly after Jeremiah left, we got to go see our dear friends for lunch!  Here Jonah and I are with our favorite princess, Sissy.

Mom sees a lot of prom picture potential on these stairs!  Where are our dates??

Speaking of prom date potential!  We have dibs on Sissy as a future daughter in law for SURE!

After lunch we all went over to the New Pal Fall Festival.  We made sure the lady took good care of our Sissy.  There's Eli's little sis Lani too!

Of course I got a spider on my face.  What else??

Sissy is the cutest Hello Kitty ever!

Jonah got a fire breathing dragon.  Of COURSE!

Then we tore that tent UP.  When you're this cute, you get a lot of free junk!

Sissy was dying to get on the rides.  She wasn't scared at all.

We big tough boys on the other hand... We decided we'd better stay planted on the ground um... to make sure she was okay.

One boy went with Sis!  Her Daddy loves her to bits and pieces.

Afterwards, we all thought the dragon roller coaster was a fantastic idea.

I very quickly changed my mind and screamed bloody murder until they stopped the ride.  Thank goodness they did, as I was already halfway out of my car!

See ya!

The big kids and conquered the Fun House with no problem.

I enjoyed the first 5 ft. of the fun house.

Jonah went all the way up and down with Coley.

Superstars!

Final stop was the airplane ride.  We Vandys called it quits, but the Chailles soldiered on!

Jonah did get a little annoyed with the fact that he couldn't reach the shooters.  Maybe next year, buddy!

What a fantastic Saturday!  Thank you Chailles!  See you next weekend!
