Bachelors Beware!

This is a special post just because Mom thought this part of the night was absolutely hilarious.
Uncle Scott got all set to toss the garter to see who the next bachelor to be married off would be.
Meanwhile, Aunty Heather rounded up all the eligible bachelors in the crowd.
We weren't really sure what was going on...

When we heard we might get stuck with a GIRL, Owen and I took off.  Oli and Malachi have sisters so they weren't afraid.  Uncle Billy headed out at the last minute to see what all the fuss was about.

And, Malachi came up with the prize!  We were pretty sure it was some sort of weapon so we all took turns shooting each other with it.

Here we are consoling poor Malachi and trying to squeeze in some last minute fun before he gets locked down.

Iron Baby - Leg Three

That kid brother of mine is truly remarkable.  He didn't miss a beat!  He was even partying between events!  Here he is laughing it up with Grandma.  He must've known I was testing him because he really showed me...  He hardly rested all day before the last leg of his Iron Baby Tri-partython.

Finally, it was time.  We got scrubbed down, dressed up and shuffled off to Uncle Scott and Aunty Stephanie's wedding reception.  Don't they look fantastic and so very happy together?  We sure do love them.

Of course, Bryce had to have some cuddle time with our stunning new Aunt.

He was passed around all night long.  Here he is charming Aunty Heather.

Don't even THINK about making a move on my Aunt Lydia dude...

Dad was his partner during the last leg of our party weekend.  Bryce had to keep him going.  As we said, he is lacking the extra Canadian stamina...  Poor guy.

Mom and I were on the DANCE floor!  I was inseperable from Cousin Owen.  There were more than a few reports of two little men beating each other to a pulp.  We didn't see those guys though - we were too busy dancing and playing Cole and Owen style!

This is how we start, then we fling each other on the floor as hard as we can.  Whoever is left standing then dive bombs the other guy.  It was the BEST dance ever!

I promised Mom I'd dance with her, so I had to oblige.  I think I may have made her night...

Who wouldn't want to dance with a guy with moves like this?!

I do my best work alone.  I'm kinda like Usher...

Bryce preferred the slow dance.  That kid hung on and finished strong.  Not even a little fuss.
What a champion!  I'm so proud of him.
He definitely took home the Gold and has earned my respect when it comes to partying.

Here's to many more fun times together little bro!

Iron Baby - Leg Two

Leg Two was the little dude's Baptism!  We went straight to the church after dinner and in true Iron Athlete style, we got changed en route (okay in the car in the parking lot).  Even Mom did!  Bryce got straight to work charming the crowd.  Here he is with our newest cousin, Shayla.

I worked on Sueann - our other new cousin.

Here are two of our favorite ladies.  They were there cheering the little man on.

Another favorite taking a direct approach.  What a lucky kid!

Baba and Didi gave Bryce this awesome silver cross to mark the occasion.
On a more serious note, we are so happy to dedicate this little angel to God.

Papa gave him a quick rub down in between splits.

Bryce and his "God family."  How can he go wrong?!

Everyone wanted a picture with the man of the hour.  He sure is lucky to have so many people who love him to bits and pieces.

That kid wasn't alone for one second!

And of course, his biggest fans.  We are all madly in love with the little dude.
He makes us all so happy.

Seriously..  Everyone looked awesome!  He really has touched a lot of people already.

Pastor Feichtner was there to do the honors.  Unlike me, my little brother was happy as can be the entire time.  He even replied to the pastor a couple of times!

And...  The second leg complete.  Here is Baptised Bryce with some very proud parents, Godparents, Pastor and his coach - ME!

I was really proud of him for being so good all day.  I decided to let him rest up before the last leg of his test.

Iron Baby - Leg One

Around here, we take pride in our Eastern European heritage.  Of course you know one of our best qualities is the ability to P-A-R-T-Y!  Since my little bro is 5 months old now, I decided to put him to the test.  I challenged him to an Iron Baby Tri-Party Weekend.  Game ON!
Everyone knows the swim leg is just a warm up in the Iron Man race...  We decided to BOWL for our warm up and we invited two of our all time favorite Eastern European partiers, Baba and Didi, to join us!  I got a special "Green Goblin" ball.

Here's Didi giving Bryce some party pointers.  It should be noted that all but Daddy had a distinct advantage because of our Canadian performance enhancing DNA.  Sorry Dad, you missed out on that partying edge.

I have some mad bowling moves.  No shocker there.

Didi has some mad cuddling moves!

Baba and I tried two man bowling.  We rocked!

Turns out Baba has some mad cuddling moves too!
PS.  Notice B's new move.  That kid loves his thumb.
Round one was a total success.  Bryce was in fine form the entire game and all through dinner.  Nice work little man.
But the night was still young, and Round Two was a doozy.

5 Months Old

My official 5 month post!  I've recently found these cool toys Mom calls "feet."  I'm also teething like none other and liking all the fun solid foods I get to try.  I love my toys, but especially love to wrestle my giant caterpillar and my block.  I love my big brother best of all.  I'm a great eater and an even better sleeper.  Life is pretty great so far!

Lookout world, I'm only getting bigger!

First Haircut

Apparently I have a big event coming up this week.  Mom decided to clean up my shaggy hair by trimming all the long raspy baby hair off.  Now I have a nice neat Vandy style buzz.

I like it!

Naming Talents

Meet "Manager" my new stuffed animal from Uncle Scott and Aunty Stephanie.
Who knows where I come up with these names..

Sweet Potatoes

So far I've had peas, rice cereal and bananas.  Usually I yell at Mom between bites because she can't get the food in fast enough.  Today, we tried sweet potatoes and man... it did not go over well.
My reaction to the taste wasn't the biggest issue.
This full body bib was driving me NUTS!
I could not stand it.

Maybe I'm not as laid back as my parents thought..

We had an epic battle, this silly smock and I.  In the end I think i won.

Show Me the Way

We are still the best of friends.  Neither one of us can get enough of the other!

Although we seem to be opposites, we sure do enjoy spending time together.

This morning, I decided to teach B how to crawl.  First, we push UP.

As usual, I got distracted when things weren't moving along at warp speed.
Ps.  No, those are not fake lashes.

I decided to pretend I was a monster.  That didn't seem to speed up the lesson any.

So... I took a snoozer while the little man worked away.  Getting big takes WAY too much patience for me!
