Trick or Treatt

The big day is here! This year we drove over to New Pal's greatest kid 'hood - The Havens!
That's Jude in the astronaut costume, B as the headless kid, Jax is a sumo, Wes is a sock monkey, Tucker is a creepy clown and I was WRESTLERILLA!

In retrospect, if you are not trick or treating in Siberia, I don't recommend the gorilla suit. There were literally pools of sweat in my mask and it was 30 degrees outside!
But our costumes were on point this year! It pays to have a creepy Mom who loves Halloween :)

Halloween Party

Mom came in to chaperone (okay play) at our Halloween party. She was quickly assigned to the "Mummy Making Station."

There were some rules and structure in place, but those were quickly abandoned in favor of toilet paper chaos!

And... she is asking that it please be noted that someone skimped and bought one ply which is ALWAYS a sure sign of sabotage!

Oh well. There was a giant mess and plenty of candy, so it was still a success.

Family Vacation. The WHOLE family!

This week we decided to get away from the hustle and bustle of our big city life. We drove down to Bloomington and holed up in a neat cabin. Then we quickly went out to explore the trails in McCormick Park.

Oh, and for the first time in Vandygriff family vacation history, we brought the pups!

Of course, they weren't able to come EVERYWHERE with us. Sometimes, we had to snuggle up with poor substitutes.

But Mom found a cabin where they were welcome and boy did we love having them along. Uh... except when Rowan spent the ENTIRE night patrolling the cabin for unseen dangers.

And Miss May might have had daily accidents too. Oh well, they had an absolute blast sleeping in bed with us and cuddling up on furniture. A true vacation from their very difficult lives :)

Lunch Date

Mom and Jovanna surprised us all with 2 big pizzas and what they called "2 hot dates" for lunch today!

I was a little embarassed and we all refused to take nice pictures, so Mom found her favorite 5th grade girl.

See? We do NOT take nice photos. C'mon ma!

But when it came down to it, we gave up one good shot because we do kinda love our Moms.
Thanks for the surprise, gals!

6 going on 18

As you know, Coley and I are complete opposites. Example #576 of this fact is our appetites. I am insatiable. I out eat my brother at every single meal. I am especially ravished at breakfast and it's nothing for me to put down a massive pancake, sausage, hot chocolate, fruit and juice. I'm also starving before bed.
Tonight Mom busted me trying to stock up on calories just to make it through the night. Who needs a glass, Ma? We all know none of you are getting anything out of this carton anyway!

Parkview Drive Pumpkin Party

Tonight was our annual Fall Party on Parkview Drive. We went over to the Silers for carving and dinner and flashlight tag, then finished the night with an outdoor Cubs game and a big fire. We sure are lucky to have such great friends nearby.

Mom's Gluten Free Halloween treats were on point this year!

Off Season

Wrestling Season is just around the corner! This year, our favorite wrestler is coming in after working all summer long with the high school coach.

Carter and Gunner have been putting in a lot of time in the offseason too.

We're very excited to see what 2018 brings for these DWC all stars!
