Angels

Some sounds are so nice, Mom thinks they must be what heaven sounds like.
Thanks Boots for allowing us to enjoy this awesome sound!

The Big Oh Five!

Sunday was a very important day for me as a Best Bud... It was Vann's Birthday!

I planned an awesome night of partying with older women, games, prizes and tons of fun.
Of course, we brought B along!  He's part of the gang!

We were the talk of the Fall Festival at KK's school this year.
Everybody thought we were the  cutest, happiest best buds they'd ever seen.

Okay, B got his fair share of praise as well.  He had a blast hanging out with us cool kids.

We played every game there was to play.

We were inseperable.

In case you doubted me...  Check out these older women we hung out with ALL night!

Of course we got our faces painted.

Vann was Lightning Boy and I was Human Torch.
How odd that they didn't have stencils for those...

We hung out with my buds the firemen and scored hats.

I showed Vann the Spidey Training School I go to all the time.  He was a natural.

And.. the highlight of the night!  Despite Mom's wishes to the contrary, we BOTH won fish!
What parent doesn't want their kid to come home from a sleepover with a new pet?!
Here are "Bats" and "Batty."  The names are a testament to our great friendship as we both
wanted to name our fish Batty, but of course we couldn't have TWO fish with the same name
so we worked out a compromise, which is what best buds do.

Then it was time for fun at MY house.  We were pretty beat, but never to beat for a good bed bouncing.

Oh yeah, we have the same pjs!

This is what we'd look like if we were skeleton ghosts.

Yes, the little man hung around for the afterparty too!

We didn't exclude him even once.

Happy Birthday Vann!
I can't wait to have you over again.

Adored

Some things take a while to learn, like how to drive and how to make a decent meatloaf; other things you just figure out.
One thing I already know is that my brother and I are A-D-O-R-E-D by some pretty special people.
We adore them too!  Here we are up before the sun making some pictures for our Saturday morning guests.

My first piece of art, which Cole decided was "Smoke."

Okay so I ate most of the orange crayon and had to be removed from the scene prematurely...
It was still a labor of love.

Love for Bugga and Grandma who adore us so much they drove 3 hours at the crack of dawn on a Saturday just to come cheer Cole on at Soccer.

The Blue Angels didn't disappoint.  Our two stars spent most of the game crying on the sidelines so we were a little short, but they still delivered an action packed game.

I'm not embarassed to say that I'm their #1 cheerleader.
Go Cole!

What a great time we had cheering on our favorite little superstar.
Thank you for adoring us, Grandma and Bugga.
The feeling is mutual!

Wedding Bells

After a full day of play, I was starting to think about a bath and bed.  I was a little surprised when Mom plopped me in the sink right after dinner, but as is my nature, I just went right along with it.

Then Cole joined me and it was GAME ON!

Mom and Dad wrestled us into some really weird clothes and shipped us off just when I was getting excited about bedtime.  I was a little annoyed until I realized we were going to a party for Aunty Heaven!
Cole was happy to see her looking like a princess, but pretty bummed when he found out she was officially off the market.  Lucky Rob!

Cole was a champ throughout the ceremony.  I was really busy flirting with the pretty girls behind me and had to be escorted out.  I think Dad was worried about their dates getting jealous because I was really a big hit.  I hear weddings are a great place to meet people, I guess I just need to be more strategic and flirt only with the ladies who are there with no date.

Guess who was the first man on the dance floor.  It was pretty hard to get this kid OFF the dance floor actually.

And guess who sat and ate the entire reception.

I'm not sure who this lady is.  She bears a vague resemblance to Mom, but there's no way it's her.  Where's the ponytail and dirty sweatpants?  What's that on her face and how come she doesn't smell like my barf?  I'm telling Mom about Dad's pretty girlfriend just as soon as I figure out how to speak.  I can't believe Cole didn't bust him!

I may be a flirt, but my big bro is a world class ladies man!  He gave Aunty Heaven a LOT of smooches and hugs and asked if she could please come and stay the night at our house.  I was sure she'd say yes, but shockingly she decided to hang out with that Rob guy instead.  We are officially second best.  Lucky dude.  Lucky dude.

Congratulations Aunty Heaven!  You are the most beautiful bride and we're so happy you're happy.  We love you!

Pumpkin Wranglers

October means it's time for our annual Pumpkin Round Up.  This year, we were short a couple of cow hands and I was pretty upset about it.  I talked about and looked for Sydney and KK the whole way there and the frist 20 minutes at the Pumpkin ranch.  It was very hard to imagine the annual trip without them, but we are good cowboys and the round up must go on.  Here I am prepping the wagon.

It's a dirty, hard job, but somebody's gotta get out there and tame those wild pumpkins.

I must've put 15 of those wild critters in the wagon.  Somehow they kept getting out.  I have my suspicions about a couple of pumpkins rights protesters who were lurking about setting them free, but we wound up with a great haul anyway.  Here's Daddy's, Mommy's, Cole's, Bryce's and Ghosty's pumpkins.
Nice work padnah!

Vital Signs

Well I had a little visit to Dr. Kermit's office this week.  The nurse kept commenting about how "healthy" I was, which I thought might have been code for "fat" but it turns out that I'm right on track.  I'm 21.5 lbs (63rd %ile and 4 lbs up on my big bro at this age) and 29 inches long (71st %ile and the exact same as my big bro at 9 mos.) and my head is enormous - that's all I'm going to say.  I'm working hard on walking and have taken 5 steps in a row already.  I'm also saying "Hi" although I have no idea what it means - it does get a good reaction.

I love playing with Cole and really get into "games" now.  I kick balls and throw them and laugh when Cole chases me.

Still only 4 teeth, but I use em well!  I eat everything from Brussel Sprouts to oatmeal.  I get fewer and fewer outbreaks all the time and am thrilled to death to be alive and in this family.

A Week in a Minute

Our editor has been complaining lately that she has less and less time to work on this blog so we're trying a new trick called "A Week in a Minute" which is a summary of our week laid out in 60 seconds.
We played dress up.  Dad brought Elmer down from the attic for B and of course, he wanted nothing to do with it, but Cole hopped right on.

Poor Elmer is working hard under all that weight.

B took 5 steps in a row.  He is determined to beat me to the walking milestone and we are all pulling for him.

Of course, this means he's planning his escape as well.  Windows have been open around here lately so it's the perfect time for sneaking out and over to the girl's house for some of Mrs. O's cookies!

B is the happiest kid alive.  We're all pretty crazy about this guy.

He loves to play ball.  Soccer is of course his favorite, but he likes catch too.

This kid has 4 pounds on me when I was his age.  What a beefcake!

Mom and I have been hard at work decorating for Halloween.  I made these ghosts and she cut em out.  We also covered the entire sidewalk in scary pictures, put spiderwebs out and hung skeletons and spiders all over the place.

I love reading to B.  I can name almost every letter and love learning how to spell words.

My favorite thing to teach the little guy is Superhero-ology.  I pretty much have my PhD. so there's a lot of knowledge to transfer here and B is an eager student.

So, we're at 80 seconds now.  We didn't quite make it, but that's what we've been up to.  Hope you've been well!
