Love

Just a note so we never forget... We got to spend some time with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Gene last night. Boy do we love them to bits and pieces. Cole is old enough to know we may not have many more evenings with Grandpa Gene, but I surprised Mom last night by giving him the biggest longest hug ever. Sometimes you're just not ready to let go. We Love You Grandpa Gene!

A Thank You from one Grateful Mother

Lately the boys have been so incredibly close. They love each other as only brothers can. It's a phenomenal gift to see the influence Cole's heart has on his little brother. B is truly lucky to have a brother like Cole who has loved him to bits and pieces from day one.

Smart Little Vandys

Cole is leading his class in their reading assignments.  Not only is he super smart, he doesn't mind teaching me to read too!

Real House Kid of Indiana

I got a SERIOUS owie this weekend.  I was running with a kazoo and I fell. It tore my mouth UP and we're still not sure I'll keep my front tooth.  I cried and cried and Cole cried too because there was blood EVERYWHERE. I was pretty upset and kept asking Mommy to kiss it better, but this was one owie Mommy's kisses couldn't even fix.

Here's a decent visual of the swelling that has stuck around for 2 days now. I look like a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills!  Thankfully, I'm still able to eat (on the side of my mouth).  It's not easy being a rough and rowdy kid.

Big Games for Big Kids

We got to have our friends the Scott Family over twice this weekend!  They came over after church on Saturday to watch the IU game and again on Sunday for the Superbowl.

We love having Gaines around!

Lutheran Schools Week

Last week was Lutheran Schools week.  We had so much fun.  Monday was pajama day, Tuesday we got to dress up, Wednesday was school colors day AND a field trip to the High School, Thursday was Sports Jersey day and Friday was CRAZY day.  Oh, and we also had a 2 hr. delay on Friday because of the icy roads (which Mom and I experienced Thursday night when a crazy man sent us into the ditch).  So, we spent the delay time coloring my hair.  The top says "ZION."

And the sides were Orange and Green!  Happy Lutheran Schools Week!

And B loves the hotwheels!  He has them all in the bath for races and car washes :)

I had that truck built in about 90 minutes.
