First Sleepover!

Mom always worries about me because I'm usually terrified to sleep by myself and need Cole with me at night and when I wake up.  We went to the Chaille's after Trunk or Treat just to eat dinner and ended up staying SO late that we all decided to just give a sleepover a try!  Guess what Mom!  Jonah and I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes and I had NO problems whatsoever.

It helped that Jonah shared his lovie and that I kinda REALLY like his Mom.  I wouldn't even let Mom change me when she came to get me for church in the morning.  I said "Don't change me!  Jonah Mommy changed me!"

Sissy was more than happy to share her bed with Cole, but he said he "can't sleep in a girl bed."  Mom tried putting him on the floor (Sis joined him :)  but they couldn't agree on lights off or on so they stayed up talking instead and Mom and Dad ended up taking Coley home with them.  So.... that means I, Bryce Vandygriff, officially spent the entire night at my best bud's house WITHOUT anyone else!  Thanks Jonah for letting me stay.  My house next time, buddy!

Trunk or Treat

Shortly after Nana and Papa left, we were forced into bed for a nap.  I tried to tell Mom that superheroes do NOT need naps, but I'm pretty sure superheroes are still required to listen to their Mommies so I had to cave.  About two hours later, we were attacked by giant angry birds!  We soon realized it was Mom and Dad dressed up to take us to Trunk or Treat!  I was SO excited and happy, but that all changed as soon as I put my Dark Knight costume on.  The Dark Knight is NOT giddy.

Our friends at school went all out with their "trunks."  This was the Monty Python one.  We didn't understand a word they said, but we happily took the candy they gave us!

The Gunns went purplicious :)

It was too cold to have outside.  Mom was grateful to be in the gym!

We spotted our friend Elijah and Mom snapped a picture of his cool Minion costume.  Then we started noticing the rest of the family.  There's Agnes behind him.

Dr. Navario was there.  There was a giant stuffed Unicorn and a space game where you had to shoot a rocket down to win...  Hmmm...

Mrs. Taylor was the carnival worker.

And of course we spotted Gru!  Pastor was PERFECT.

What an awesome set-up!

Just as we were moving on from the Despicable Me booth, Mom started laughing like crazy.  We all turned and saw the world's biggest Scooby!  It was Jonah and Sissy's Dad!

We LOVED it!

Jonah and I were instantly inseparable as usual.

Coley made his way over to Jacob's Super Mario Brother's Booth.  There's his Dad and Mom, and Ruthie was the Princess.  It was awesome!

What a great time we had at Trunk or Treat.  We let Mom and Dad know that next year, we expect to see a Vandygriff "trunk."

Papa & Nana Visit Vandyville

We got some special visitors in Vandyville this weekend!  Papa and Nana stopped by to see our house.  Papa showed Daddy pictures of their house, while B and I showed them around our place.

We were so happy to see them again.  Nana, it won't be long before I'm taller than you!
B is rarely without a costume these days.  He showed Papa just how much fun he is to try to photograph.  Thanks for visiting us Papa and Nana!

Run Sarah Run!

It's not unusual for Mom and Dad to wake us at the crack of dawn to head out to a road race.  This morning, it was particularly interesting as it was freezing cold, extra early AND raining!  We didn't bat an eye though, because we knew we were going to cheer on one of our favorite ladies - Jonah and Sissy's Mom!

We spent the majority of the race in a cafe entertaining Jonah's uncle Ryan.  We did rally at the 10 mile mark and again at the finish.  B and I got on stage and danced the runners in!

Then we saw her!  She did SO well and ran all 13.1 miles like a champ!

Her sister Leah joined her at the finish.

So did B!  Congratulations Sarah!  We are all very proud of you.

Lark Ranch

Well it's that time of year!  We switched things up this year and conducted our annual Pumpkin Hunt at Lark Ranch in Greenfield.  Here we are on the Hayride, which was the only thing I didn't find scary.

Speaking of scary.  Yikes!

I did have to lay down the law with a few other toddlers who tried to mount "MY TRACTOR!"  Mom eventually removed me so others could enjoy themselves as well.

Check out the slide!  Mom and Cole went down, but I was having NONE of it.  I wouldn't even do the bounce house!

Rusty old farm equipment however, I was all about.

Especially if Coley was with me.

We got to pan for gems, which we found a TON of.  Coley and Dad cleaned them up and we wound up with two very cool arrowheads!

Obviously, this ride was too dangerous for me as well.  Coley had to go solo.

I didn't mind going with my big strong Dad on the peddalcarts though!

These were Mom's favorite.

This was taken right before I started screaming about how scary this giant plastic pumpkin is.

While Cole strapped himself in to the super tramp.

and bounced WAY up high.  We couldn't be more different, but we all enjoyed Lark Ranch!  Happy Fall everyone!

Captain B

It's been about a year, but I am finally able to sleep in my own room again.  Of course, I could not be seen sleeping in a little kid bed.  I've been sleeping with Coley in his room like the dude that I am.  Dad finally built me a cool train, or pirate ship or firetruck to captain ALL night!

I was pretty fired up about it and Cole and I spent a good hour just going up and down and testing it out.  Now we both cuddle up like little sardines in the top bunk and we couldn't be happier.  Thanks Pops!

Fall Break

It's been a beautiful fall and we have enjoyed every minute of our break.  As usual, we're joined at the hip.  Mom was in Texas on Monday, so Daddy had us outside inventing new games all day Monday.  Here's our latest invention.  We join our bikes together and fly down the driveway into the cul-de-sac.

Boots has been COVERING the neighborhood in mice carcasses ever since the farmer plowed the field next to us.  He's a busy boy.

Not too busy to play with us though.  He let us chase him around a bit before hiding out in the bushes.

Oh and B is getting SO strong.  He can pull me!

Life is so great when your best buddy is with you all day everyday :)  Here's to Brothers!

We Love This Family!

Today we got to hang out with our friends the Knippenbergs!  Seth, Joshua and their awesome Mama came over for a bit, then we all went to the Apple Orchard.

If you've ever wondered what a tree full of whacko's looked like...

As usual, we played hard from start to finish

Then can you believe our Moms got us carmel apples and apple cider slushies?!

Still best buds.  Thick and Thin buddy.

We wrapped the day up with a trip to the park

We were BEAT!  Thanks for a fun day Knippenbergs!
