We Have a Bleeder!

Sorry Grandma!  Another bloody mess!  I bit my bottom lip at Great Wolf Lodge (not even noteworthy anymore).  It was a little bloody, but that was NOTHING compared to today's fiasco.  I fell off a chair at daycare and bit almost through my tongue.  Now THAT was a bloody MESS!

Hard to get a decent picture of it, but this is the flap that hangs over now.

Stomp Stomp Clap Clap AhWooooo Woot Woot!

This time Mom and Dad let us do the Magi Quest!  I could have spent the rest of the month exploring the hotel and finding clues with my magic wand to complete each Quest.

Treasure chests opened, paintings spoke, statues lit up... it was awesome!

B loved it too!

Little Magi :)

B spent a LOT of time saying "hocus pocus" to this knight and doing impressive poses with his wand.

He held out pretty well for a kid who didn't nap all weekend!  Mom did end up carrying him a fair amount but that's okay.

Back on another Quest first thing in the morning!

This was B's favorite part.  The bedtime story and animated forest.  He couldn't get enough of the singing and dancing trees and forest creatures.

Mom didn't get any great shots as we could NOT sit still!

B's buddy.

Mom and Dad were pretty impressed with our playfulness in the water.  We were not scared and LOVED frolicking around and playing in the waves.  B went down the kiddie slide and Cole tackled all of the big slides he was allowed to tackle.  We danced Gangnam Style in the wave pool, soaked each other in the Lazy River and had a super time just being together.  Thanks GWL!  See you in a few months!

Great Wolf Lodge Take 2

Mom and Dad came up with a cure for Cabin Fever too!  We piled in the car and headed east to Cincinnati.  Before we knew it, we were at Great Wolf Lodge!

We were SO excited!  It was just as we remembered.

The park could NOT open fast enough!

We did just a little exploring.

And some hide and seek.

Is it time to swim yet Mom?!

Cabin Fever

It's the time of year when young boys get extra nutty.  We have SPRING FEVER!

You never know what we'll do to cure boredom around here.  And.. a little Vandy rule of thumb still applies - Everything is more fun when done in the nude!

That Little Boy of Mine

That Little Boy of Mine
Two eyes that shine so bright,
Two lips that kiss goodnite,
Two arms that hold me tight,
That little boy of mine.
No one could ever know how much your coming has meant.
Because I love you so, you’re something heaven has sent.
You’re all the world to me.
You climb upon my knee.
To me you’ll always be,
That little boy of mine.

*borrowed from Mama Selch and her two amazing little boys.  Thank you!

Bloopers

Okay B did MUCH better than any of us thought he would but we still got plenty of bloopers!

Mom was tempted to order Christmas cards right then because the chances of us all getting the time to sit down together and take pictures again are slim to none!

Family Pictures - Finally!

A little, okay a LOT late, but we finally got family pictures taken.  Here are some of the good shots.

Built Vandy Style

As you know, we are not a sit on your butt kinda family!  Mom and Cole are on the treadmill, Dad and Cole practice baseball every night and I am now allowed to start working on chin ups!

Mom says I'm probably not built for distance like Coley is.  We beefcakes have to spend time making sure our bulges are in the right spots, right pops?!

We are all built for different sports, but one thing we share is a love of activity!  I cannot get enough!

Silly Saturday

I got to have Jeremiah over ALL DAY on Saturday!  We were so excited about it all week in school.  He came home with us after our basketball game and we got straight to work being as silly as we could be.  We even dug out the Christmas hats from the basement!

We all love having Jeremiah around.  Mom says he's a great influence on me because he's calm.

Mom took us over to the gymnastics open house.  Look who else was there!  That's our friend Maisie in the background.

We had a blast.  We were both pretty sad when it was time for church because Jeremiah's dad was there to take him home.  Mom said next time he can stay over!  Maybe tomorrow!

Mama's Boys

Here in Vandyville, we are ALL Mama's boys.  I am especially fond of anything and everything to do with Mama and really don't like sharing her.  Lucky for me, she is better at sharing!  I like her new boots even though I was with her when she bought them and I was pretty upset that she didn't buy the "Santa Boots" I picked out.

Hole in My Head

Mom and I spent the morning at the dentist taking x-rays to determine the extent of the damage I did to my palate in last week's battle with the kazoo.  We got good news about the long term affects (there should be none) but the dentist was still unable to determine whether or not I'd keep my front teeth.  She said I had a 60% chance of keeping them and a 40% chance of losing them and asked me to come right back in 4 weeks.  Yeesh! Mom was hoping for a break from injuries but Cole and I said "No Deal!" and promptly put a small hole in my head just before we had to leave for basketball practice last night.
Obviously we didn't make it to bball.  The good news is that I didn't have to get stitches.  The bad news is that I have a hole in my head!  We re-promised to be more careful going forward and we BOTH apologized to Mom up and down.  Let's see if I can go just a little bit longer between blood shed this time around.
