Cole: Ya Mommy! I get you!
Mom: Cole, don't jump on Mommy. You have to be careful because your baby brother is in Mommy's tummy.
Cole: sits and stares at Mom's tummy for a minute. Mommy! I don't be careful. He's a mean baby and he likes to fight!!
Mom: in her head Lord help us all if that's true for BOTH of you...

Bowling!

After a quick trip to the mall to get me some new shoes for school, we finished the weekend with some of our favorite friends - The Girls, Julie and Dad. I got to go bowling for the very first time!! Here I am with the champion bowler, Sydney. She was really good! Speaking of good, I was not... I wasn't a fan of the whole waiting for your turn part. The girls were smart and took me to the arcade. I had a blast with them in there!
Mom was also NOT good. I tried to help her, but it was definitely a lost cause.

The girls were patient angels as usual. They put up with my tantrums and helped me learn how to bowl. They always make sure I have a great time no matter how much of a butt I am. Mom says that's how I can tell they're my true best friends.

Not the final score, but I wanted to show everyone that I beat Mom! She should definitely stick to the sports she's good at like.... um.... uh....

Weekend Full of Friends

This weekend was all about spending time with friends! It started out with a visit from my good buddy Parker. Mom and Dad like it when he comes to play because he's 2 years older and likes to do things other than fight. Weird... He's super cool though! We had a great time.

Parker is even able to sit still and play the Wii. How strange is that?!
Then on Saturday, Mom, Julie, the girls and I went over to the Farmer's Market for fresh Honeycrisp Apples - our favorite!! I helped Mom make an apple pie and Fettucine Alfredo for Dad. Of course, I wore my standard Silver Surfer outfit...
Unfortunately, after a baked apple went in my mouth, the entire contents of my stomach came out. I really REALLY have a tough time with certain textures. Dad didn't mind not having to share his homebaked apple pie!

Work Work Work

Evidence that my pre-school teachers mean business. I got HOMEWORK!!

Mom and Dad are to talk about all the things God made AND I have to make this whole graph and talk about colors and "most/least." Geez!! I thought school was just another way to get out and meet girls :) Better get crackin.

PS. Coming in Sept. is my very first field trip and School Picture Day! Mom couldn't be more excited and I couldn't have less of an idea what all the fuss is about. Yeesh!

Special Guest

Guess who was already at my house waiting to eat breakfast with me when I woke up this morning?! Gene!! We get to have him over a lot because Mom is bound and determined to keep him well fed while Pam is at work. What a lucky kid I am!

Lookout World

One of my parents bet on boy after carefully analyzing the genetic trends on the paternal side of the family for the past few generations. The other parent bet on girl after doing the Chinese Ring Test. Guess who was right?!

He was moving around like crazy. My kinda kid.

Dad counted 10 fingers and 10 toes. Mom made sure the heart sounded good, and the brain looked great too.
I told the Ultrasound Tech. that I was Dr. CoCo and I helped out (as usual).

I even peed in a cup with Mom! After a short chat with Dr. Box, we found out that my little brother is measuring a little big (just like I did) and that everything looks absolutely perfect (just like I was). Boy, are you all in for it!! I can't wait to have a rowdy new playmate!

Mom thinks my little bro looks more like her. She thought I looked just like Dad at my Ultrasound, so maybe she'll get ONE thing right anyway ;)

Conversations With Cole

Cole: Hey Boots, why you bite me all the time?

Boots (as voiced by Cole): Because... because... I just need to.
Cole: Hey Boots, you wanna see my guys? You wanna come play in my room? Boots? Boots! What are you doing?

Boots (as voiced by Cole): I'm just sitting.

Cole: C'mon Boots. C'MON! You can do it, Boots. Let's go play!

I really need a sibling...

Back to Gymnastics Too!

What a busy day! Not only did I start pre-school, I went back to gymnastics too. This time without Mom and Dad. Unlike last year when I screamed and threw fits and wanted to run all over the place by myself, this time I stayed right with Coach Robin and did everything she asked.

Forgive the picture quality. Mom stayed in the parent's observation room (behind glass) the entire time so as not to disturb Coach Robin's awesome mojo.

I made a new friend, Kevin. He was really good at following directions too.

Changed Man

Look how much smarter I am AFTER pre-school! This is my teacher (we think). We're not sure what her name is just yet, so I called her "purple teacher" today. Mom promises to ask tons of questions later, but held back because it was only day one and she didn't want a reputation. Whatever that means...

When we were leaving, I rolled down my window and said "BYE FRIENDS!"

I sound like a teenager already. No idea what I learned, or what anybody's name is, but I sure do remember snack time!

First Day of Pre-School!

Well, today's the big day! I started pre-school! I was super excited to go. Of course, I'm big enough to put my OWN backpack on.

Here I am ready to go learn all there is to know. I even did my homework assignment, which was to draw a picture of something we did over the summer. I drew a picture of ropes and Superhero eyes. Very appropriate, I thought...

Of course, Mom wanted to take a picture with the man of the hour.
And she made Dad pose for one too. I just wanted to get going!!

When we got there, my teacher came right out to the car to meet me. I was SO happy, I said "Hi Teacher!" over and over again. I held her hand nice and tight and she said she remembered me because I was Spiderman at "Meet the Teacher" night. We're going to be great friends. Mom didn't cry until she was taking this last picture, and don't worry Dad didn't cry - he was driving.

Mom says she's going to remind me about how excited I was for school to start when I'm older. One of my parents loved school, the other... not so much. It's a 50/50 chance for me!

Back to School

Last week was pretty sad for me (and for Mom) because my girls went back to school! We sure have had an awesome summer together. I missed them so much all week, so I asked Mom if I could please call them to come over yesterday. They came! We had so much fun, as usual. It looks like they might still have some time for lil ol' me afterall. Here we are painting our "Back to School" pictures.

I didn't last very long. I just wanted to run and play with them!

We finished our weekend with a dance session.

Back to school might not be so bad afterall. Mom says I'm starting school this week too! Stay tuned for pictures from my first day at pre-school.

This Week

Mom left AGAIN this week so Dad and I were on our own. We did some arts and crafts and I wore my new favorite Superhero costume everyday. If you're not up to speed on your superheroes, I'll clue you in. I'm The Silver Surfer! It's a pretty big challenge to get me out of this costume. Good thing I'm potty trained.Here's my main man and I. We've been on our own 3 of the last 4 weeks and we've been an awesome team. Daddy even took me to meet my new new pre-school teacher this week.


And here's a happy little boy who was excited to see his Mommy come home from Canada last night. She says she's here to stay this time!
PS. Yes, I DO wear this shirt everyday that it's not in the wash. I LOVE it. Thanks Vann and Stella!!

I Lost My Mommy

This was a tough week for me. On Friday night, Mom and Dad took me up to meet Grandma! That was great, but I thought they were coming in the truck behind Grandma and I and it turned out that they were NOT. I was a little upset with the dupe and even after Dad came and got me on Tuesday morning, I still had a tough time. I cried at school everyday that I'd "lost my Mommy." Imagine my delight when she walked in the door Friday night! I had BIG hugs for her. Welcome Home Mom - even if it's just for a few days!
